NEW NIN ENROLLMENT – MANDATORY DOCUMENTS:Regardless of any other Nigerian proof of citizenship or identity you possess—including a Nigerian Passport, Birth Certificate, Voter’s Card, or Court-issued document—the following documents are MANDATORY for all NEW NIN enrollments:
ADULT APPLICANTS: Court Affidavit and National Population Commission (NPC) Digital Birth Certificate or Birth Attestation
CHILD APPLICANTS: National Population Commission (NPC) Digital Birth Certificate or Birth Attestation (Foreign Birth)
Obtain the required Court Affidavit and Statutory Declaration of Age before applying for a Digital Birth Attestation Certificate.
Apply for the Digital Birth Attestation or Birth Certificate required for your NIN enrolment.
For eligible Nigerians and applicants who have never previously enrolled for a NIN.
Complete your BVN-generated NIN update by scheduling a biometric appointment and completing payment.
Restore access to a suspended National Identity Number through a biometric appointment.
Register a child for a NIN using the appropriate birth documentation.
Migrate a child’s existing NIN record to adult status via a biometric appointment.
Print NIN Slip or Retrieve NIN Number
Access additional NIN services such as slip printing or number retrieval.
Correct or update your NIN record details through NIMC’s Self-Service Modification portal.
