                         NIN Appointment Instructions

TO SAVE BOTH YOUR TIME AND OURS, PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY

To avoid delays, inconvenience, or the need to reschedule, please carefully review and follow all instructions before coming to your appointment.

  1. Appointment Policy
  • Walk-In is not allowed.
  • Services are strictly by appointment only.
  1. Completion of Required Processes

All applicants must complete the necessary pre-registration processes and bring all required documents to the appointment. Failure to do so will prevent the enrollment process from proceeding.

  1. Required Documents for New NIN Enrollment

The following documents are mandatory for new NIN registration, regardless of whether you already possess other Nigerian identification documents (such as a Nigerian Passport or Birth Certificate):

  • Declaration of Age Affidavit
  • Digital Birth Attestation Certificate/Code
  • Nigerian Passport (Valid or Expired)
  • NIMC Payment Receipt/Code (You may choose to pay during your appointment)
  1. What to Bring to Your Appointment

Please come to your appointment with the following:

  • Declaration of Age Affidavit
  • Digital Birth Attestation Code (With your Correct Name (First, Middle & Last Name)
  • Nigerian Passport (Valid or Expired)
  • NIMC Payment Receipt (You May Choose to Pay during your appointment)
  • Credit or Debit Card for payment of NIMC Service Fees
  1. Appointment Rescheduling
  • Appointments may only be rescheduled at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
  • If you fail to reschedule within this period, you will be required to book a new appointment.
  1. Incomplete Documentation Policy

If you arrive without all the required documents (such as Nigerian Passport, Affidavit, Digital Birth Attestation Certificate/Code, Valid Nigerian Passport, or NIMC Payment Receipt):

  • No agent will be able to attend to you.
  • Your appointment cannot proceed.
  • You will be required to schedule a new appointment, which may result in a loss of time and money.

Please ensure that all documents and requirements are complete before arriving for your appointment to avoid delays or rescheduling.

DO NOT SKIP ANY OF THE FOUR STEPS.

  • No walk-ins. By Appointment Only
  • You must complete Steps 1 and 2 in sequence.
  • A Declaration of Age Affidavit is mandatory.
  • Digital Birth Attestation is required for new NIN applicants
  • NEW NIN APPLICANTS: Declaration of Age and Digital Birth attestation is required, regardless of any previous or current documents (such as a Nigerian Passport or Birth Certificate)
  • Come to your appointment with:
    • Declaration of Age Affidavit
    • Digital Birth Attestation Code
    • Credit or Debit Card to pay NIMC Fees

If you arrive without the following required documents and codes from the Nigeria National Population Commission and the NIMC Payment Portal, no agent will attend to you (you just wasted your time and money), and you will be required to reschedule your appointment.

HOW TO MAKE PAYMENT -NATIONAL POPULATION

  1. Go to: https://nationalpopulation.gov.ng/
  2. Click on Services
  3. Select your services
  4. Click Privacy Information Requirement
  5. Scroll down and click each of the privacy notices and follow the prompt (make sure you have a check mark)
  6. Click the consent
  7. Click attestation
  8. Make Payment (Only Mastercard Accepted)
  9. Print all documents, including your Attestation Code.
  10. Next Step is the NIMC Website to Make NIN Payment
